Just a quick one.

I'm insured fully comp on my car but I'm a named driver. Am i insured to drive other vehicles but with 3rd party insurance? I haven't driven any other cars yet but might have to in a few weeks. Just wanted to know if I'd be covered or whether I'll have to stick with my own car.

Thanks in advance.

It's normally only the policyholder / main driver who has this option of driving another vehicle with third party cover. As a named driver you are only covered for the vehicle named on the policy. Read over the insurance policy terms and conditions to double check this. Better safe than sorry !
I am sure Homer is right, I am in the same position and not insured to drive other cars.
i am named on my hubby insurance but only he is covered to drive someone elses car !
..and even if you are the policyholder, it is likely you would only be insured 3rd party (legal minimum) on any other car.
I'd be very careful about driving other peoples cars on 3rd party cover as it excludes essentially any claims on their car, plus probably doesn't cover legal and other expenses. Much better to get the other car owner to add you to their insurance for a couple of weeks.
