Camera Distance

Anyone know how far mobile (van) speed cameras are trained down the road? Saw one this mornig, and not sure if I slowed down in time.

Have heard that they can detect your speed up to one mile.
Anybody know for certain?

Stupid really, was running a bit late. Know there's often one there in the mornings.
Don't usually go that way though - only cos I was taking my sister to the station!
Was doing about 70 in a 60 zone.

The mounted laser guns are Home Office Type Approved to operate up to a mile away.
