I understand that one of the things that affects car insurance premiums is your home address.

Is there any way to compare the prices for different addresses? eg a website or something. I've just moved house and I'm getting unexpected quotes from confused.com considering the area to which I have moved....

What I do notice is that the first year you sign up for car insurance with any insurer the premium seems very low. This increases greatly for succeeding years. So I suppose if you want the cheapest quote change your insurance every year to different insurers. That is if you dont mind the form filling each time.
this gets right up my nose, i live in Co.Durham but thanks to the post office i have a teeside post code, which puts about 100 a year on my insurance then if i had a durham post code.
