Corsa dashboard brake warning light
6 Answers
Red light on dashboard comes on momentarily especially when I make a right turn. I thought this indicated low brake fluid but on checking, this was not the case. Could it be a faulty sensor or brake wear indicator?

Red lights I can remember included brake fluid, brake wear, handbrake, battery and oil pressure. But my Corsa seemed to suffer from very strange problems due to the way they'd connected the drive belt to the braking system which didn't do the battery charging much good.

I've a 2002 1.2 16v and the handbook says the warning light is for the hanbrake applied and/or the brake fluid level is to low.
If the fluid level is ok then as trastevere says it could be a faulty switch at the handbrake.
Handbook said nothing about a brake war sensor - know there isn''t one one my model.
