Ford Fiesta dashboard stopped displaying

Today, the dashboard display and the brake lights stopped working for no apparent reason. I checked the fuse and it was blown. Replaced and it blew again I pressed the brake pedal (dash display and brake lights are on same fuse). What is likely cause of fuse blowing?

change both of your brake light bulbs and see if that cures your problem. bulbs can kind of short out within themselves.

also if you have replaced a bulb recently then make sure that the contacts aren't tutchin this happend on my car

Thanks TomTech - that was indeed the perfect solution! Both bulbs were blackened although both still functioning. Bought new replacements and the problem was solved. I owe you one!
