vauxhall vectra noise fault?

hi there my vectra 2.0 ls r reg makes a strange noise whilst driving the noise gets very loud between 30-40 mph then starts going quiet driving faster than that and its quiet below that. haven't got a clue what it is. ive tried revving car when sat still and its fine no noise. it doesn't matter if the clutch is depressed or not the noise is very loud can only think its somthing like wheel bearing or driveshaft any help would be very grateful

the exhaust does blow a little but i think its more serious than that. it sort of feels like its coming through the steering wheel and then once you get past 40mph it starts to disappear but thanks any way
wouldnt really know without hearing the noise mate, but does sound like a wheel bearing. a bearing sounds like a howling droning noise. the exhaust makes ur car sound like a pathetic boy racer, anything else or mechanical sounding is something more serious.
