CD player for vauxhall corsa- Help!!
2 Answers
I have installed a new CD player in the car and I am experiencing some problems. The unit always powers up but the speakers don't always work, I have to pull the wire out and reboot. The unit also reboots when the ignition is turned off/on and loses its memory, would the problem be with the ISO connection

Usually using an ISO connector is infallable and the best way of connecting new equipment. It sounds like the two power connectors are mis connected if you know what I mean ? One should be live all the time (even when ign off) this will keep the memory. The other should power the unit when the ignition is on - they can both be wired to a permanent source but this risks the unit being left on and draining the battery. I'd check the ISO unit is the one for the job and that the same coloured wires are opposite their respective wires on the connectors. It's a strange one and one that you used to get with the old block connectors before ISO came in. Good luck
this may be similar to a prob i had. the earth wire was not conected well enough and this meant every time the volume was turned above a whisper it would reboot.sony had the unit on a test bed and sent it back saying it was ok. it took me ages to find out the fault because the earth was ok to flow a volt meter check through it but not enough for the power the unit needed.
bit long winded but hope you get the gist of it.
