No Tax or Insurance

My fella got caught by a speed camera in his car with no tax or insurance - he now has a letter from the police.

Will they find out he has no tax nd ins?

What will they do??

If anyone knows pls reply I'm desperate to knw what's going to happen to the stupid boy!

Why did he have no insurance or tax - what's his excuse ?

First of all, if he still driving without insurance or road tax, he needs to stop now!

He will have to send his Driving Licence to DVLA to get his points awarded and they will amost certainly check to see if the car is insured and taxed (Motor Insurers Database and DVLA) for each offence.

If he is caught driving with no insurance he will not be allowed to drive the vehicle any further. If it is an old car it will crushed.

The offence of no insurance is a serious one and he will get at least 6 penalty points and a hefty fine. I am not sure what will happen about the Vehicle Excise Duty.

I strongly believe that any age car should be crushed and the offender should not only be forced to watch the car being crushed - but also should be made to press the crusher "on" button !!
Well that's my opinion anyway - any other suggestions ?

The police already know if the car is insured and taxed before they send you a summons - it's then up to you to prove otherwise that there information is wrong in some way as you will be requested to produce the documents no doubt.

uninsured scum! ??? is that to strong a phrase to use when describing someone who does not feel that they should bother with trivial things like insurance,tax,licence etc ?
who looks after the child, mother, father, daughter, etc. that they maim in their little death trap? what do they do if it's their familly that gets hit?
yep, scum sums them up! hope he gets a short prison sentance to show him it's unacceptable. i bet most abers agree.

Have to agree, these things are not there just to penalise motorists, they are there to protect us.
