Hi Guys,my son will be taking his car to holland for 3mths he as taxed it for 6mths and intends to post it back to claim 5mths back off it as he wont need to have tax over there.Q is when he comes back to blighty can I tax it for him and if he should get stopped will he be able to show the tax to the police at a later date after he as picked it up from me

Sorry, but for a UK registered car to be legally driven in any EU country it must be UK legal - this means valid insurance, MOT if applicable AND road fund licence.

And the dutch can fine him and put points on his uk license
