Towing on a motorway??
is it legal to tow a car which has broken down with just a towing rope on a motorway? thanks

Maximum length of rope 4.5 meters and it must be marked with a piece of rag or something if it's over 1.5m
Max speed 60 ( but the guy you're towing will probably throttle you when you stop if you go that fast - I would!)

yes you can but if you want your warranty to still be applicable, check the manufacturers instructions on how your car should be towed.
