The headlights on my 2003 Avensis seem very poor. I require full beam to see properly on dimly lit roads. Anyone else have this problem.

Get your headlights adjusted correctly.
yes, you may have a beam height adjuster somewhere on the dash so you can adjust the beams to compensate for load in the boot. This may be set incorrectly-check your handbook, most cars have 'em now! Also make sure the lamps are clean.......
there is a small thumbwheel on the right of the dashboard. It is marked from 0 to 5. Set it at zero, it will bring the beam up and the lights will be fine. It takes a few seconds to adjust
