Advice re tom tom sat. nav. please
I do not have excessive use for sat nav but am thinking of bying TomTom one v2 +free speed cam. fitting from Navcity. Can anyone tell me if this is a good deal and if this speed camera deal is just the fitting or do you get the actual "gubbins". Also after looking up it says some post codes may not be there - can you add them in to the card?

All satnav'e suffer from the same probs, though. When roads are modified or new-built it can take time before you can udate/upload new maps. Not their fault as they all get their map info from same source and are, therefore, dependent upon a third party supplier for the info.
Can thoroughly recommend TOM TOM.

You have to buy the camera as an extra item - the fitting only is free. The other thing about this unit is the traffic update service - that is only available on subscription, and you will need a mobile phone with bluetooth and gprs as well.
There is another unit available (sorry but I can't remember which one it is) that gives you free traffic updates (think it might be a Sony or a Mio)
Look in your local Comet if you need this service as they sell it there.
TomTom are an excellent product and a good first time buy

Thanks for replies, I had an inbuilt system for quite a few years and found it extremely usefel, albeit I did not use a great deal. Being an early sat nav it did not have post coding, but obviously now you can get this facility and I think this would be great. Maybe I am being a bit tight on the cash so I'll give it thought and poss go for a better model.
