radio code

can anyone tell me the radio code for a fiesta R reg 1.2?? m sister messed with the battery leads and now we cant use the radio, also the radio is showing locked it is a 3000 series

Normally, the only way to find out a code is to go to a Ford main dealer (who will charge for the service). Even they don't normally have the codes to hand; they usually have to make a phone call to get the information.

You do need the number on the side - , to remove the radio from the casing, you need a pair of U-shaped pins (a couple of pound at any car spares shop) - if you can get the code I'm sure someone on here could help.

Each radio has a different code, but you might find that the number has been stupidly written somewhere on the radio.

If it's an original fit a ford dealer may well be able to do it on just the reg number rather than having to remove the radio.

Someone here, like me, can help you out, but you need to give us the unit's serial number.
Ford can give you the code from the reg (if its the original) but they'll charge you for it.
