That's a relief . Thanks!
You have to get a form from the post Office, fill it in and send it off with the fee (used to be 5) and your licence will come back clean as a whistle !!
if you dont want to pay, just send it off with a change of address, say (your mums house)then in a month or so send it for another one back to your address,no charge
I'm not sure that works as when I changed my address - the points stayed on even though they had expired. The form is to take the points off - I'm sure they have seperate forms for address changes.
theres no form, you just do it on the paper part of the licence and it does work and i think you will find its about 17 just to remove pts,no charge for address changes
just checked its 19.a bloody liberty

What's the point of paying 19. Surely if it is not recognised after 4yrs, then it doesn't matter if they are on there or not does it?
No it doesn`t Maggie I`ve got 6 old ones on mine.
It all depends on the offence. Points are "effective" and count for three years. Most endorsements can be removed from print after four years although the serious stuff like drink driving and causing death and stuff stays in print for eleven years.
Also, it depends on the offence as to when the clock is started, for some it's the date of the offence, some others start from the date of conviction.

Mine was a speeding fine. 40 in a 30 limit. honestly thought it was 40mph. It was a road where it changes on a shortish stretch. Live and learn.
