The Parking/ignition warning light comes on frequently but only when I am braking sharply or breaking into a corner. I have checked everything that I can think of, oil water break fluid but can't find anthing wrong. Any suggestions?

Which light is it Julia?
If it's the braking light then it could be the pads are worn out, try pushing hard on the brake pedal whilst stationary.
If its the ignition light it could be a loose connection on the back of the aternator.
Or it could be that you are not dropping the handbrake far enough, or the switch under it is faulty.
