My battery warning light is staying on and gets brighter when I brake . Have checked fan belt seems fine.

could be your alternator has gone and needs replacing,or the belt is loose,get it checked out as it will result in a flat battery quite soon.

my 405 did the same,turned out to be a blown brake light fuse, may help you

Thankyou Foxbat 22 the problem has now been sorted mine too was the rear brake light was faulty and going to earth.Thankyou for your help.
