when i ordered my new car from Vauxhall, they wanted 500 deposit, i said i couldnt afford this so i couldnt order the car. i said i could give them 100 and they said this was fine. so deposit paid and car ordered...or so i thought. i came to the pick the car up the other day and after signing everything and handing over the keys to my old car, they demended 400, the outstanding balance - the rest of the required deposit. they didn't say i was to pay this at the time of ordering - i think i would know if i had 400 to pay. but i had to pay it or they wouldn't give my my car. and if u seen this car, you would have paid it too!!!
were they right to do this???
thanks

yeah i had the money and yeah i can afford the repayments. if i couldn't, i wouldn't have taken out the car, would i?!

i just didnt have the 500 for the deposit there and then. my question is, if i already paid a deposit (of 100) is it right for them to ask me for the rest after i have the car.
