I have a leak in the drivers side under my seat and at the passengers side behind the drivers seat. I have taken it to a garage and they said they can't see where it is coming from! I have a Vauxhall Corsa, can anyone else advise me on what to do next?
If I remember right there is a vent in the door jam close to the latch - check it isn't missing or damaged - other causes of leaks - windscreen seal, door seal, rust hole - sunroof ( if fitted ).
It will be a long job but try removing the seats - lifting the carpet and getting inside and get someone to spray water from a hose in various places - hopefully that will show up the leak. -
One point of saftey - the corsa's have pressurised rams attached to the seat for the seatbelt tensioners in the event of an accident - These MUST be disabled by inserting the clip attached to the ram before removal of the seat and if the car has airbags fitted I would suggest disconnecting the batttery as well.
Does it have the tilting rear windows?
My citroen AX had exactly the same problem due to dodgy seals on the windows.
Also, they use rubber plugs under the floorpan to plug holes not needed. could be that one is loose / missing on each side?
my partner has removed the carpets, put the hose on it and can't find a leak, what else can we check? the car doesn't have AC nor a sunroof. We are at a loss. Any other suggestions?
