Finally gonna get rid of my Ford Focus. It has caused me too many probs over the last year.
Need to get something 1.2-1.6 (max, petrol) or Diesel (MAX 1.9). Looking at Golf, Polo, Punto, Fabia, 206 and similar. 2-4 years old. Good mileage.
is this achievable?

The Focus is a great car. I have the 1.6 Zetec with Climate Pack. 52 Plate. Great car, just unfortunate with mine. THe engine management light kept coming on and then going off after a day. After a while the vehicle broke down. The fault was found to be the Coil Pack. after that was repaired the engine light kept coming on again. Went back an found it to be the Lamda sensor and Cam sensor. Very expensive but had to have it repaired. Yesterday the light came on AGAIN. Car feels fine but still very worrying. THis morning the light went out. Cant risk having to keep forking out for new sensors as they are expenisve to have supplied and fitted. I have had it a year and its has already cost me 700. So, Im getting shot of it.

May I recommend a 4 yr old Honda HRV.
They are all 1.6 litres and very economical.
They are cheap to insure.
They are still fairly trendy.
They have a large boot, esp when the back seats are down but are the same size as a car.
They have a good height.
They are 4x4 but will not get spanked for green taxes
They are the most reliable VTEC engine in the world
They hold value very well.
