engine cleaner

I need to clean the engine compartment and I think the easiest way to do it would be with a degreaser spray and then wash off. Any ideas on products available.

Hi Spectra 5,

I used to use a product called Gunk. You can buy it in a spray & in a liquid form which you would apply with a paintbrush & then wash it off. This was about 10 years ago though, it was good stuff back then!!

Have a look on the Halfords website, they have it on there.

yes that works, but you must be careful not to squirt it into all those sensors that are everywhere these days
they dont like it much!

On modern cars the easy way to paralise the engine and many other working parts is to spray the engine with water.
