I have just started going full comp and made a claim within the 1st month. It was not my fault but will my insurance go up next year as I have still made a claim! Thanks in advance!

Yes the premium will rise, (unless you have NCB protection) if you are claiming off your own insurance regardless of blame. Presumably the other person was un insured or did not leave their details. Sorry it's bad luck.
If your insurers are not able to recover their costs from the 3rd parties insurers you will be held liable I'm afraid
even if they recover all costs,it still goes down as a accident and does reflect in your next premium
Norman you are incorrect.

If the accident is your fault you premium will increase as a result.

If the accident isn't your fault but you can not claim against the 3rd party (hit & run for example) then your premium will still go up. You must realise that it's a 'no claims discount' not a 'no fault discount'

If it isn't your fault and the money cost of repairs is covered by your insurer then your premium will not increase.
TYPO: If it isn't your fault and thecost of repairs is recovered by your insurer then your premium will not increase.
