double yellow lines

Is there any one out there that knows the law regarding double yellow lines? ie width of paint, space between lines, wether they are capped at each end etc,.

Don't know the width and space between the lines but the must be "capped" at both ends and be unbroken for the entire length between the two caps.

This is the legislation which would define what should be in place but it appears at the moment that you have to buy the sections which show diagrams of the markings.
