On the tyres on the above car is marked 145/70R
When I put the car details on the kwikfit site to see what the pressure should be it brings up the size of the tyre as 145/70T

What is the difference between the 'R' and the ' T '

Thanks

there is another number you are missing, there are 3 sets of numbers on tyres,ie 145 70 ? the third number is the size of the wheel,ie 13/14/15. etc,and the letters after, denote the speed limit the tyres are designed for.

On the tyres on the car is 145/70R 137 IT

The kwik fit site says 145/70T 13

What does the extra 7IT on the tyre denotes - is there any significant difference between what is on the tyres and what kwikfit is stating?
i.e is the correct tyres on the car ?

thanks

Tyre pressures are not relavant to the tyre sizes but to the vehicle they are fitted to.

Renault will supply you with a handbook for your car, about 5.00, or get one cheaper on ebay, this will give you the correct pressures and tyres.
