whats is the absolute limit that the police have to act on when someone gets flashed by a red light.? I believe it 2 weeks and 6 months in special circumstances for speed cameras but is it the same for red light cameras. If anyone can give me a link to any webpages that contain the answer aswell im interested in reading up on this subject. Thank you.

thanks alot ethel. It been like 6 months since someone I know got flashed by a red light camera, and this person was the registered keeper and owner of the car so the police should have had no problem finding them; and they are yet to recieve a NIP. However my friend has someone in the police who they asked to check up their licence and there was something relating to the incident on the database.
