rover 75

the car (rover 75) has dead locked all doors with the key fob button, now the doors will not unlock and the key will only open the drivers door and boot we have tried diss-connecting the battery and it has made no difference if anyone has an answer please reply asap thank you

hi there burts_wife. car electrics what a headache, first of all have you checked the battery in the remote, might sound silly but first things first. if not try it, if you have and battery is ok, have you the tried site on internet :-
Preloved.co.uk, try this site and then go into 'rover' section and you will find lots of help and advise on there. give it a try and i bet someone will be able to help you. good luck and let us know.

hi again - just a thought if it turns out to be the ecu. which i hope it isn't (i had weeks of trouble with my rover 214 and they were very expesive) if it is the ecu there is a place in bolton lanc's that deals solely with rover 2nd hand parts. fingers crossed ps. it could be that your rempote needs re-tuning to your ecu.
