Hello!

I was recently caught speeding on the motorway and I have recently heard about a day course thing-y that you can pay to go on to remove your points from your licence. Is this true? If so, can anyone tell me where I can find out more details about this please? There is no information with the actual ticket. Many thanks, c~s

The course does not remove existing points from your licence but it stops points from that offence going on to your licence.

You cannot ask for it - it has to be offered. Read all about it here:

it's if you've been caught doing up to 39 in a 30, then you can pay for the course and not get the 3 points. If it has not been offerred then you don't qualify.

Ah right, thank you both very much. Do you know why it might not have been offered please? I was caught doing 62mph where there were average speed cameras for 50mph. Many thanks to you both again. c~s
Not every police force offers the scheme - and some forces choose not to use it for motorway speeding.

You could telephone your local police station, ask to speak to the traffic police and get their opinion.
