what is the likely punishment for someone who has now got 12 points on licence, pleaded "special" circumstances last time so cant do it again? thanks

i sorry didnt put the question properly, i havent any points by the way but just wondered how long the person would get banned for, thanks

When being disqualified for "totting" the offence(s) are largely immaterial. The ban is for reaching 12 points. The seriousness of each of the individual offences is marked at the time of the individual convictions by the number of points awarded.

There is minimum disqualification of 6 months applied for totting and this is rarely exceeded. A second totting disqualification within three years of the first attracts a minimum ban of 12 months.

I see Nelson Piquet (ex F1) has been banned and has to attend a driving improvement course to get his licence back!
