I got a ticket back in November of 2006 for driving without my licence. The reason behind the ticket was because I was keeping my mother from drinking and driving. Is there anyway I can fight this and get the 3 points removed from my licence? At the time I had a Level one permit so technically I didnt have my licences at the time. I still dont have my licences today due to this situation.

it sounds like you are not in the UK,this is a UK based sit,so any answers may not be of any help.
that does not entitle you to break the law - you could have got a taxi.

why did you drive ?

I drove because my 9 year old sister and 2 year old brother were in the car, and I didnt want anything to happen to them. The officer told me that the only reason he pulled me over was because my moms tag had been exspired since August 2006. So am I to blame? What can I do?
where do you live
of course you are to blame - you are not permitted to drive without a driving liscence, no "technically" about it. using your reasoning, people would get away with speeding because of preventing a larger crime, or get away with drunk driving because they were preventing someone from driving whilst drugged
i would fight it.

you are not entitled to break the law as other options were available to you (i.e, taxi, walk etc)

however, if you explain the circumstances they may accept it and lessen the penalty

how far did you drive?

don't hold your breath though.

I drove from my house to a apartment complex about 15 minutes away. I couldnt call a taxi because at the time i didnt have any money. Well i really never had any money because my mom always took it to spend on alcohol. I couldnt walk because its to far away. It would have took me an hour to get there if i had of walked. My intentions were not to break the law and hurt anyone but to protect and keep my brother and sister safe. The officer said I drove correct and I put my turn signals on He said i did nothing wrong, my moms registration had expired thats why he stopped me. So. I only took my mom to the apartment complex and i was coming back home and when i got right near the driveway to our house the cop pulled me over. I just dont understand why i'm to blame when i was trying to make a difference. O well i guess thats what happens when you live in a bad household. Thanks Everyone for your comments and help i really appreciate it. God Bless you all.
i realise in the circumstances you felt you were doing the right thing - but its still illegal!

like i said all you can do is explain that

however, most people who get caught come up with some sort of sob story as to why that had done it - and the police and courts have heard them all... there were options open to you - so it would have been a long walk...? so what?

the fact that you managed to stay in control of the car was just lucky - what if you had killed someone ?

have you had driving lessons?

from your language i supect you are not in the UK...?

if so, this is predominantly an british site so the answers given may not be relevant to you.

as i said you can tell the story and hope they believe you, but dont hold your breath
