Brake Cables

My brakes cables have recently gone on just the front i think, does anybody know of the region these should cost. I have an L reg clio. thanks

do you mean brake pipes,they are not that expensive to buy �20/30.but they need to be fitted properly.

Has your handbrake stopped working or your footbrake?

Handbrake is worked by cables, footbrake by pipes.

Well when I got it MOT'd the person who did it said "Brake cables are on the way out, their down to the metal". And I can barely brake when depressing the brake pedal.

Are you absolutly certain he did not say brake PADS?

sounds to me like he probably said brake pads too, if metal to metal your also going to need new rotors too. carefull driving...
