I would like a trike but I don't know what kind or size, I want to ride it on my full car licence (passed test in 1976) What are trikes like to insure? trouble with phoning an insurance company, they want to know all the details of the trike that I haven't yet got, I don't want to spend a lot of money on a trike just to find than the insurance is astronomical!!

The insurance won't be too high at all, on the basis that a trike will do a let less damage to the Rolls Royce it smashes in to than a car would.

Well thank you Ethel!! I don't intend driving into any vehicle but if I do, what better vehicle to hit than a Rolls Royce!! not the most flexible vehicle though!!

"Remember the days when Rolls Royce were British!!"
You know what I meant, ratter.

It's not the value of the trike that matters, it's the damage it could do that bothers the insurance people.

I remember when Rolls Royce cars used to be transported in furniture vans, so they would never be seen on the back of a recovery vehicle.
Rolls Royces don't break down either they just fail to proceed, O ! sorry that was'nt the question, Trike insurance is not to bad as in the insurance comanys eyes they are a good risk, as there are not a lot of accidents involving trikes.
Hi,
try going to a bike rally and ask the trike owners - they will tell you where to get the best deals and what sort of thing you should look out for when buying (or building) a trike
