selling my car

Hiya all I currently have my car for sale on e & m website and magazine roughly about 4 days I have had a person interested hes from guernsey and has offered slightly more than advertised he is on about paying for the car by bankers draft and on about using a shipping agent too.
What does anyone else think of this as we are a bit wary of being scammed. I would really appreciate some advice or other peoples experiance with this thanx in advance x

It's well known scam, the cheque will bounce but will take a lot longer than you think to actually bounce. Did he also say he'd pay you too much and that you could refund the money to pay the shipping agent?

No hes not said that its a very long email he has sent stating that he eventually wants to ship it back to where he lives in canada we would not be liable for the shipping costs, also the car is a bit cheaper than all the other cars alike on the site.

then i wonder why he has offered you more money? why does he not want to see it first?

Exactly we were wondering that too, he has asked for us to send him loads more photos which we are in the process of doing at the moment just going to be very wary and also we are going to ask if when the agent comes to pick up the car and paperwork we could have cash instead if he doesnt get back to us then we will know if its a scam or not.

we have sold several cars on the net and every time we have had the same sort of emails, and usually with the same story, they are buying for wife/daughter/son, but they live in a different country and have to ship it but will give me extra for my troubles, just ignore them we did
