Started on Monday morning and passed on Friday afternoon!!
I did an intensive course with BSM, which I strongly recommend. It was the same instructor, same car all week, we varied the hours so that one day I was out in rush hour, one day starting late so that I was out at dusk etc. It was great! I took a week off work and got it out of the way in the shortest space of time possible - no dragging it out for weeks, which was perfect for me. It was about 11 years ago, and cost about 450 I think, but WELL worth it!
Go for it, hotpink!

I had loads of lessons in comparison to this lot ~ 22.
I failed first time, had two more lessons then passed. However I reckon my instructor paid the examiner off! strangely enough when my instructor saw the first examiner he looked crestfallen..the second time I had a different one and the instructor smiled at me as if he knew I would pass with this one.

I had 2 lessons a week, almost every week for 16 months and passed on my 6th attempt :(
My first 5 tests were at the same test centre and the examiners failed me for the most ridiculous reasons. Then I switched to another centre and passed straight away! The guy who passed me said he couldn't understand why I hadn't passed sooner cos there was nothing wrong with my driving.
I'm a bit embarrassed to tell people I did 6 tests, but it paid off cos friends and family say I'm the best driver they know and I've never had a accident (touch wood!!)

I took loads of lessons probably nearly 50. I basically took one a week for a year but I think my instructor was ripping me off as I didn't learn anything after about the first 20! Although saying that I then failed my test and was too devastated at the time to retake it and then just never got round to it. It's one of my biggest regrets, I was so stupid just not to keep it up at the time and keep trying until I passed. Such a massive amount of wasted money!
