shocking car

yesterday i received shocks each time i left the vehicle each time i had my hand on the edge of the door
This has never happened before can anyone tell me why
I was wearing rubber soled shoes

Sorry I have no idea why, but this used to happen to me for a few months. It got so bad at one point that I used to kick the door shut, but then it 'got me' when I put the key in to lock it (the days before central locking).

Apparently it is something to do with static electricity but for me, it stopped almost as soon as it had started, so I still have no idea why it happened.

Seems the only way to stop it is to drive whilst naked.

no problem heres the solution ! try touching the glass before you exit the car or touch the key against the metal body as you step from the car alternatively get one of those retro strips with a lightning flash on them that touch the ground at the back of the vehicle

Try touching the glass display counters in a large department store same thing happens
