Is it possible to fit a rear wiper to a saloon
My mechanic says no because its a saloon, unless I can get a kit specific to my car, which he has not heard of. It would involve connecting the washer bottle as well. I have an L reg Rover 623gsi. Can it be done by an auto electrician? Anyone got any ideas? The rear screen is difficult to see through when it is wet or dirty.

Suggest you just do a wiper without the wash. Try looking a an old Land Rover with the wiper arm connected directly to the motor spindle, We used to fit these by drilling thru the bodywork just below (or above) the glass, its really simple and just needs a cable and switch to operate. Surely if you looked at the set up on the back of something like a people carrier it would be compatible, just dont fix it thru the glass. Take a walk roung your local scrap yard and you will find some inspiration!
