Car valeting polish
4 Answers
Hi all
We've recently bought a 51 plate car and when we picked it up the paint finish was stunning. Over the last few weeks a few scratches have magically started appearing from behind the polish!
I've tried 'normal' Autoglym and Maguires polish on the car, but as with most auto polishes they tend to highlight the marks by filling them with a white residue.
Can anyone tell me what make/type of polish is used in car dealerships to enhance the paint finish before a sale or hand-over.
Cheers.

If they are only fairly minor scratches then i would recommend a tube of maguires Scratch-X. I made the mistake of buying a black car that shows up every scratch. It has always done the job for me. JUst rub it fairley hard into the scratch, wait for it to dry then buff it off with a cotton cloth.
