Ford Focus C-Max - changing windscreen wipers

I bought myself some replacement blades for my windscreen wipers from ebay The basic instructions say that to get the blades out you have to pull the plastic end off of the wipers.

Now being just a girly i asked my fella to change them for me and even though hes a very strong chap he cant get the ends off and is now worried that he could break the wipers by forcing it.

Can anyone confirm that hes doing the right thing or advise how to get the blades out?

if you have not bought original equipment ford , wiper blades , i guess you purchased pattern cheaper copies of wiper blades for your focus ......forgive me if im wrong , original equipment is better , from someone who spent too much money on cheaper pattern wiper blades and parts for cars....

they are blades recommended by many people of the focus forums who spend a heck of a lot of time and money on their cars so i have no worries about the quality thanks.

I just have a worry about fitting them, just as i would if i had genuine ford blades waiting to be fitted.

anyone else?
