Why does my engine keep cutting out?
When i'm slowing down approaching a junction or island and im changing down the gears or in neutral, i.e. in between gear changes when the clutch is down, my engine will cut out. Usually if i'm slowing down from high speed (revs). It doesn't jump or kangaroo, the engine simply cuts out. To start it again i either jump start or turn the key. It has no problem starting again...I'm thinking it may require a new petrol filter as it has done over 60,000 miles without a new one, or do you think it could be anything more serious? Any suggestiong are much appreciated.

Turned out to be a management sysytem problem with the heat sensor sending wrong info to the computer. Worth having a diagnostic check done as it will point to the problem otherwise you could be swapping things before you find out exactly what it is.
