my hubby says he read somewhere that a quarter of a million vehicles pass through each day so knowing that trucks are 2.20 to cross then you can guesstimate the amount... I really hope you aren't planning on robbing it!!!!!! lol

Not worth trying, Tilly, I'd get stuck in a jam after about fifty yards !
It grates me when the government promised some years ago that when the bridge had been paid for, which it has, the tolls would be removed. And to rub salt in they have increased the tolls since. As this is most heavily congested part of the M25 someone should get up a petition on the No. 10 website to remove this unfair tax.
I agree kwicky, the promise was always to pay for the tunnel and then it would be free. The only thing they have done is make it 1.00 overnight for all vehicles and free for motocycles.

Apart from the money issue it would make that area run much better as well as there are often trafiic problems there, if not caused by, certainly made worse by the back log at the tolls.
I hope your getaway vehicle is a cycle I was there for what felt like months once. lol
I should say I'm in favour of my toll roads in Britain but only where there is a free alternative route, the M6 (toll) being the obvious example. As the Dartford Crossing is the only feasible way across the River for M25 traffic it should be free.
It creates congestion, causes accidents in the queues and causes unnecessary pollution as the vehicles shuffle along.

It should be stopped.

Oh, and they call it Le Crossing because it's a French company!
Trucks are 2.90 now
