i have a mark 4 astra but when it gets up to temp it starts makin a dry grinding noise from round the belt area its not the alternator bearings cos i changed the alternator today just cant pin point where its coming from dos any 1 have any idea or had the same problem please help

if its a 16v get it looked at fast
my mate had this on a Vectra B 1.6 16v petrol
it cost him �300 to have done - tensioner - belt etc
its a pain but it has to be done i thought his was alternator
as well.
always before Christmas TYPICAL.
