Warning light comes on

The emissions light comes on and stays on when starting. I have been told it is the Lambda sensor. The strange thing is that my wife's car also shows a high lambda figure near to failure after its MOT. Is it a coincidence or can it be due to the contaminated fuel recently? What is the average cost of repair and replacement?

The Engine Management Light lit up on my focus. I booked it in and it was found to be the Lamda Sensor. The sensor to supply and fit was approx �125.

Much better to pay this than to risk and it and mess up your cat convertor which is about �600!

yes for probably a s h i t e quality part. the guy was probably quoting a ford price not a pattern part
