Fiat Punto Lock Problem
2 Answers
Some scrote has punched a screwdriver into the passenger door lock of my Fiat Punto. The lock is obviously broken, although the central locking works OK.
Is the lock slalvageable, or am I faced with either replacement locks all round, and a new ignition, or not being able to lock and unlock the passenger door?

Hopefully you won't have to replace the lot or you may be looking at the dreaded replacement red key nonsense (expensive).
May be worth getting an odd door lock from a scrapyard if you can handle having more than one door lock/ignition key?

don't know about over there, but here in the states i'd just go to the parts store and get a new door lock and install it myself. it's really easy. just remove the door panel, disconnect the lock linkage (usually just a simple clip set up), remove the clip holding the lock on the inside of the door, slide new lock in and reverse the process. hope that helps.
