Kick-down facility!!
I am running a 53 plate Peugeot 206 Auto with 26K miles on the clock. On the odd occasion that I use the kick down for a quicker get away there is a delay of a few seconds before the engine kicks in. Because I dont move off as quickly as expected I sometimes get horn blowing expecting me to get going. Any ideas why this should happen? Sasso1

What kick down does is increase the revs and shifts down in gear, thuis giving you that extra boost. 1st is the lowest gear so you cannot kickdown in first mate, and wouldnt recommend doing it in second, as you will jump to first doing like 3000 revs....BANG!
Also bare in mind, its only a 206, not an BMW M3!
