I was driving on the motorway this evening and suddenly the drivers side windscreen wiper went over the edge of the windscreen and protruded over the drivers side window. When I came off the motorway I pulled over and tried to put it back onto the windscreen--it did--but did not move. The passenger side one continued to work perfectly. Has anyone any idea's why this should happen?

I'm guessing here, because I know little about MGTF's. At the bottom of the wiper arm see if you can lift the cover, there may be a nut here that has come loose. retighten it with the wiper arm moved to the 'park' position.

If I'm wrong someone else will have the solution soon :)

Thankyou very much--I am no mechanic, but I did as told and found that the wiper had disconected from the arm that moves from side to side. I have wound some wire around, so I do have working wipers, until I get back home and to my garage for a more permanent repair.
