my 4 year old son recently got hold of my sat nav and has somehow managed to lock it i suspect he has been playing with it and has put the pin in wrong severial times can i sort this out without sending if back to Garmin as it says in the book

Have they got a technical helpline phone number in the instruction manual or is it on there website, just a thought....

opps! , sorry , missed the end of your post.
try standing outside your house as this is where most people put as their security area to unlock it.
or if you didn't put an area in, ask your son where he was when he locked it and see if going there unlocks it.
