looking to import new vw from new york, as its cheaper. but how much approx, will it cost to ship it over, and what taxes, etc, should i expect to pay?

Will the car have the driver's seat on the left or the right hand side ? Given that Americans drive on the *right* (ie the driver sits on the left hand side of the car) you might find your imported car a bit tricky to drive in the UK, so don't forget to add in the cost of getting it modified.
