During the night, thieves cut through the exhaust pipe of my car and stole the catalitic converter. I am informed that the filth who did this can get 40 for their drugs with it.It will cost me in excess of 200 to repair!!
My question is, is it possible to have a vibration sensor put in my car to try to prevent them stealing the new one. I am disabled, and not able to do this myself, so anyone who can advise me on the rough cost would be very much welcome.

I sympathise totally. There are some absolute scumbags about these days.
I just went on to Yell.com and typed in car security and it came up with five different companies within five miles from here. Now I'm in London and I have no idea where you are, but there will be bound to be somebody who'll fit one for you.

Good luck

Yes if you go for a clifford concept 5 or g6 alarm and immobiliser you can buy upgrades at the same time and you can fit anti vibration for around extra 50 and also anti tilt so if they jacked it up to get a bit more height the alarm will go off and that is also around 50 extra. There are lots of extras available on this alarm system but if you require it for this reason then that is yyour best and i reckon it'll be about 300 - 350 fitted with an insurance approved fitter and you'll have a nice certificate for your insurance and lower insurance premiums to.
