car noise when driving

Hi, I keep getting a strange noise when driving (not while the engines running and stationary) it sounds like a slow finger drumming. Can anyone help please?

something you wish to consider is that it is the front or rear bumper, vibrating in the slipstream. Earlier Mondeo versions used to suffer from this.

another thing worth checking is the tyres- you may have a stone in a tread or a nail in the tyre.

Does it increase with speed ?
I once had this trouble, and found that a balance weight on one of my wheels ( it was on the inner rim ), was just catching the hand brake cable on each revolution of the wheel.
BTW. Has it only started since you last had any work done on your car ?
