I have a Focus (diesel) that had an instrument cluster failure before Xmas (all lights were flashing, alarm sounding, no speedo or fuel guage). My normal garage fiddled with it & got it working and then a few days later it went again. Took it to Ford and it cost me 377! I keep vowing to get rid of the damned thing - it is a total lemon. Currently suffering from loss of power (again).
I personally cant help but try one of the very good focus car forum sites such as www.focusowners.com . Its free advice and there will be other people on there that have experienced the same fault and cures for it too .
Good luck with it .
