my daughters boyfriend got caught drink driving and told her that they kept the car and crushed it can that be true

I'll qualify that slightly.

Not unless he was convicted by a court and the court, as part of their sentence, ordered his vehicle to be confiscated (which is unlikley in the extreme).

thanks new judge,i thought as much probable didn't have it taxed or insured as well as drink driving thats more like it
Did he have insurance because if not it would be confiscated if he could not produce insurance it would be crushed or auctioned.
Maybe if they found the car was unroadworthy for another reason (no tax/insurance/MOT) they might have?
