I have seen driving instructors with a 16 badge on the back of their cars but i get mixed response from different people.. Is their anything you need to start taking driving lessons? and what is the minimun age you can start driving propperly as I have heard their is a new law coming into place will it affect me my birth date is 29/07/1992??

To learn to drive on the public highway you must be 17 unless you have certain disabilities in which case it is 16.

Some driving schools have off road routes where you can drive at 16 but these are far and few between.

There are discussions to raise the age to 18 or lower it to 16 but nothing has yet been decided.

You need a provisional driving licence before you can drive on the road.
